You Helped Make This Happen! A Look Back at an Incredible 2025 at DCSPCA

As the calendar turns to a new year, we at the Dutchess County SPCA are filled with immense gratitude. Looking back at 2025, one thing is abundantly clear: YOU helped make this happen! Every wagging tail, every purr, every second chance, was made possible by the incredible generosity and dedication of our community.

This past year has been a testament to what we can achieve together. In 2025 alone, with your support, we celebrated over 500 adoptions. We made such a difference in the lives of the animals we matched with loving homes. Our foster program thrived, with more than 200 animals finding comfort and care in temporary foster homes, which was crucial in preparing them for their next chapter. The spirit of giving was also truly overwhelming, with over 20 donation drives organized by kind-hearted individuals, schools, businesses, and groups, ensuring our pet food pantry was stocked and our own animals were well-fed and comfortable. Each of these numbers represents a life changed, a heart mended, and a future made brighter.

These milestones aren't just statistics; they are stories of hope, resilience, and compassion. They are the stories of animals who arrived at our doors needing a friend, and of people like you who stepped up to be that friend. From our ‘Feed You, Feed Them’ restaurant day in April, to our Fall ‘Paws & Claws’ market, and our festive "Deck the Paws" event, your involvement has been the heartbeat of our shelter.

Want to see some of these incredible moments for yourself? We've compiled a slideshow of some of our favorite memories from 2025 – heartwarming adoptions, bustling food drives, and glimpses of the joy you helped create.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited for another year of saving lives and strengthening our community. We know that with your continued partnership, we can achieve even more.

Here’s 5 ways you can help us make 2026 another amazing year:

  • Volunteer Your Time: Our shelter thrives on the dedication of our volunteers! From walking dogs and socializing cats to assisting with events and administrative tasks, there’s a role for everyone. Learn more about joining our incredible volunteer team and lending your skills.

  • Become a Foster Parent: Opening your home temporarily to an animal in need is one of the most impactful ways to help. Fosters provide crucial comfort, socialization, and a safe haven for animals preparing for adoption. Learn more here.

  • Host a Donation Drive: Gather your friends, family, co-workers, school, or favorite local business and host a drive for items on our wish list! Food, blankets, toys, and cleaning supplies are always in high demand and make a huge difference in the daily lives of our residents. It’s a fantastic way to engage your community for a great cause. Interested in hosting a donation drive but have some questions? Email us at dan @dcspca.org.

  • Spread the Word: Follow us on social media, share our posts, and tell your friends and family about the wonderful animals waiting for homes at the DCSPCA. Your voice helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters!

  • Make a Financial Donation: Every dollar makes a direct impact on the lives of our animals, providing food, shelter, medical care, and enrichment. You can make a secure donation directly through our website. Consider a one-time gift or becoming a recurring donor!

From all of us - two-legged and four-legged - at the DCSPCA, thank you for making 2025 a year of hope and happiness. We can't wait to see what we achieve together in 2026!

PolyTrack proves that speed alone does not win races. Aggressive driving often ends in failure, while calm, calculated movements keep momentum steady. By prioritizing focus and precision, players can maintain control over challenging tracks and gradually improve performance. PolyTrack emphasizes that discipline and patience outweigh reckless speed.
