Celebrating our seniors for National Senior Pet Month
DCSPCA is open for adoptions Tuesday-Sunday: 12-5pm.
November is National Adopt a Senior Pet Month, so this week we are introducing you to some of the fabulous DCSPCA seniors who are looking for furever homes.
Throughout November we are offering 25% off adoption fees for all senior dogs and cats. PLUS, when you adopt a senior anytime in November, you will automatically be entered into a drawing for either an hour-long private session with DCSPCA Lead Canine Trainer Jodi, or a brand new Go Pet Club Deluxe Cat Tree.
We encourage you to fill out an application before you come in to begin the adoption process.
Then visit the shelter to meet your newest furry family member!

DELILAH
Delilah is a happy go-lucky sweetheart. A special needs 12-year-old 22 lb dog, being blind never gets in the way of her spirited attitude. If you have time to help a loving senior get accustomed to her surroundings, delightful Delilah is for you.

KENO
Cutie Keno is a stunning white 8-year-old Schnauzer with a fun and friendly personality. Keno loves going for a walk with his human, followed by lots of petting. Take him for a ride in your car and he’ll curl up in the backseat for a nap. A charming fellow, bring Keno home and you’ll be BFFs in no time. He lost his home through no fault of his own, when someone in his human family developed an allergy to dogs.

MIDNIGHT
Midnight is a snortin', happy, gorgeous 8-year-old 67 lb boy who is looking for a soft bed, a few stuffed toys, and some love and affection. A Bulldog mix, this sweetie was sadly uprooted from the family he had always known. He loves to play and walks everywhere with a stuffy toy in his mouth!

LANAYA
Playful 12-year-old Lanaya is full of surprises! One moment she might be rubbing against your legs, and the next she’s chasing a dust particle through the air. Because she has symptoms of kidney disease, Lanaya needs to stay on a special diet. She may also be visually impaired.

KALLIE
Beautiful 14-year-old Kallie still has plenty of love to give. A little shy at first, after a couple of minutes of your gentle petting, she will let you know she’s happy with her sweet purring! She is looking for an owner who will show her unconditional love, and give her the opportunity to adjust to her new home. Kallie will be perfectly happy curling up in her favorite spot, quietly keeping you company while you read or watch television. Will you be the one to show Kallie what true kindness looks like?

BOWIE
Our own little starman, beautiful 15-year-old Bowie has a low-maintenance personality and is just looking for a cozy spot to curl up. He would be perfectly happy with a nook to call his own, and attention when he wants it. Will you be Bowie’s hero in his golden years, and give him the loving home he deserves?
