DCSPCA will be waiving adoption fees and offering FREE professional adoption photos for this special summertime event
On Saturday, July 29, Dutchess County SPCA invites dog lovers to come adopt the furry friend they’ve been dreaming of at our PUP-tacular Summer Adoption Event. The event will feature professional adoption photos and special refreshments.

DCSPCA has already announced that all adoption fees for dogs (excluding puppies) will be waived through the end of July, 2023. We are now excited to announce our PUP-tacular Summer Adoption Event taking place on Saturday, July 29 from 12pm - 3pm at DCSPCA. Address: 636 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY 12538
As part of the promotion, anyone who adopts a dog at the event will have their adoption photo taken FOR FREE by accomplished professional photographer Carlisle Stockton.
Stockton has over 25 years experience as a professional photographer in the Hudson Valley working for Marist, Vassar and Bard along with a dozen other colleges. Carlisle also specializes in real estate, family portraits and pet photography and is the proud mom of a 17-year-old DCSPCA canine alum. Find out more at StocktonPhoto.com.
In addition to the PUP-tacular event, anyone who adopts a dog at DCSPCA throughout July will automatically be entered into a drawing for a 1-hour session with accomplished dog trainer Jess Kelley-Madera.
Jess Kelley-Madera, CPDT-KA is a multi-certified dog trainer specializing in fear and aggressive behaviors in dogs. She holds credentials in dog behavior modification from Michael Shikashio’s Master Class in Dog Aggression and Pat Miller’s world-famous Peaceable Paws academies, and she is also a Family Dog Mediator via Kim Brophey’s groundbreaking FDM Education Center. In order to meet the dogs and adopt on the day of the event, all adopters must have a pre-screened application. DCSPCA recommends submitting an application by Monday, July 24 to give the adoptions team time to screen the applications before the event.
