DCSPCA is committed to providing every animal who walks through our doors with the very best care. Providing these animals with nutritious food is an important part of that mission.
But this year, inflation and a recent flood of kitten intakes have DOUBLED our animal food expenses.
In 2022, DCSPCA has spent an average of $4,000 every month to feed the cats and dogs at the shelter. We do not expect those costs to go down anytime soon and now our stockpile is running low.
