DCSPCA supports families by providing low-cost spay/neuter surgery for dogs and cats. The price includes anesthesia and post-op pain medication. 

 

Proof of a negative heartworm test within the last 12 months (for dogs) and current rabies vaccination (for both cats & dogs) are required. A heartworm test and/or a rabies vaccine will be completed on the day of the surgery if proof is not provided for an extra fee.  (see Wellness Clinic fees). 

 

Surgical services must be booked over the phone and a nonrefundable $50 deposit will be taken when the appointment is made. The remainder of the balance and additional services can be paid on the day of the appointment.

Currently, we cannot safely spay female dogs over 50lbs or any brachycephalic breeds.​
