Public Services

DCSPCA supports families and their companion animals with wellness checkups, low cost spay/neuter surgery and free rabies vaccination clinics. We are here to help you find the best treatment options for your pet and your budget.

Prescriptions For Pre-existing Clients

If you are already a client of ours, you may order your pet's prescriptions online via VetSource.

Spay / Neuter

Low-cost spay/neuter procedures are available for dogs and cats. The price includes anesthesia and post-op pain medication. Proof of a negative heartworm test within the last 12 months and current rabies vaccination are required. A heartworm test and/or a rabies vaccine will be provided on the day of the surgery if proof is not provided for an extra fee (listed with clinic prices). Surgical services must be booked over the phone and paid in full when the appointment is made. Additional services can be paid on the day of the appointment.

Please ask us about financing options if prices are more than your budget allows.

Currently, we cannot safely spay female dogs over 50lbs or any Brachycephalic breeds.

You can book an appointment by calling (845) 452-7722 ext. 425 or emailing your request to wellness@dcspca.org. Someone will respond to you within 24 hours to book your appointment.

Wellness Clinic

Vaccinations and microchips are available at our Wellness Clinic every other Wednesday from 10am to 2pm. Vaccinations require a brief Wellness Exam. You will be charged the examination fee plus the fees for any additional vaccine(s) your pet requires by law. Other vaccines, tests, or preventative services are optional.
